Ok. Another pretty simple one today. It has been a while so I thought I’d step in the shallow end and give you guys something relatively easy and a bit of fun. I know some of you guys weren’t quite ready for A Dice with Destiny…

So this challenge is in honour of Dennis Bergkamp. One of the finest wimps to ever grace a football pitch. If you were unaware, Dennis Bergkamp was deathly afraid of flying. So much so it affected which games he would and wouldn’t be available for.

Dennis Bergkamp, what a baby.

Dennis Bergkamp last night admitted he was thinking of seeking psychiatric help to conquer his fear of flying. The problem has become so acute he said he would rather miss European and World Cup matches for Arsenal and the Netherlands than fly to them.

The challenge is pretty basic but requires a lot of self-restraint, begin your managerial career anywhere in the world but one simple rule must be followed. You cannot fly on a plane. If you can drive to said locations (e.g. UK to Germany for a Champions League group game) then this is fine but if you have a Club World Championship game in Brazil, I’m afraid you’re going to have to send your assistant to do the job for you!)

This applies to the jobs that are available to you too. If you are based in the UK, there’s not a cat in hell’s chance you will be managing in the USA. Plane’s terrify you. Flying is unatural man. No. Not happening. The jobs available to you are reachable by vehicular means only baby!

I’d love to hear how you get on with this challenge. It certainly makes things a bit more interesting when you’re having to send your assistant to manage a game and the jobs available to you may be very limited. Why not check out our Idea Generator and let it select the team for you? Who know’s you could end up in Australia and really have a tough time!

Don’t forget to let us know how you get on!
